Race Engineering and
Mechanical Support
In the 2024 season, Widi Automotive provided both engineering and mechanical support to the M1RA Motorsport team, founded by Norbert Michelisz and Dávid Bári.
The team competed with two drivers in the Swift Cup Europe, racing Suzuki Swift 1.4T Sport cars, and with one driver in the TCR Eastern Europe, driving a Hyundai i30N TCR race car.
How did we support the team?
Our junior engineer worked with the Swift Cup driver and assisted with preparation and maintenance between races. Our experienced engineer helped the young talent Attila Bucsi in the TCR car. Our responsibilities ranged from race engineering to managing the team around the car, data analysis on the car, and working with the driver.
Our race mechanics worked on the Suzuki 1.4T race cars. We participated in car preparation and maintenance between races, and during race weekends, we were responsible for operating and fine-tuning the cars.
Tyre management was also part of our duties for both the Swift and TCR race cars.
And for us, this was the most memorable moment of the season.
