A condition assessment - the first step towards a precise restoration
Before you start a full-scale restoration of a car, you need to know what you're dealing with. Classic cars are often fine on the outside - the real challenges are usually hidden beneath the surface, which can add up to many times the cost if not mapped out before restoration.
That's why we offer you our detailed condition assessment service, where we thoroughly inspect the car and then record its technical condition. This results in a much more accurate cost estimate.
Why take advantage of this opportunity?
By carrying out a condition survey, we can estimate the cost of the entire renovation with significantly greater accuracy. This means that you will have a clear picture of what work and expenditure you can expect from the very beginning.
❌ Without it, there is a much greater risk that the preliminary estimate will be significantly different from the final cost.
✅ A status survey helps you avoid unpleasant surprises and make informed decisions before starting the project.
What do we check during the assessment?
Body and chassis - Rust, quality of previous repairs, chassis damage
Running gear, brakes and steering - Worn spacers, joints, geometry
Engine, gearbox, drivetrain - Oil leakage, strange noises,
Electricity - Electrical system operation, wiring, switches
Interior, accessories - Dashboard, seats, switches condition
Documentation and IDs - VIN, engine number, registration match
What do you get after the survey?
A detailed documentation (in PDF format) containing:
the condition of the car point by point,
Defects and deficiencies found, supported by pictures
Parts list: parts to replace or missing parts
and a preliminary estimate of the expected cost of the refurbishment.
we will try to offer you several refurbishment options that best suit your needs
The service costs 485 EUR (382 EUR+VAT), which includes an inspection of your car in our workshop (which takes about 4 hours), during which we will assess your restoration needs and show you our working procedures. We will then prepare documentation on the condition of the car, a parts list, and a cost estimate within 1-2 weeks.
Can't bring your car to us? No problem!
Our delivery partner will help you with the transport of your car to and from the workshop for EUR 0.55 per km. If you want to use this service, let us know and we'll put you in touch.
When is it recommended that you use this service?
If you have just bought a classic car
If you want to restore your oldtimer but don't know how much it would cost
If you are unsure about the actual condition of the car
Based on the survey, we can offer you several options for restoration, at different levels and at different expected costs. Based on the value of the car and your goals, we can help you find the best direction for you.
